The Fault in Our Stars—John Green
5/5 stars
No spoilers in this review!(:

Main charcter, Hazel Grace Lancaster was diagnosed with Stage IV thyroid cancer when she was 12. At 14, a miracle happens and she can live a little bit longer than expected. Two more years passed and her parents are scared that she might be on the edge of depression. They force her to go to a Support Group every Wednesday that is full of other cancer survivors like herself. The day she was about to put her foot down for another session, she meets charismatic and gorgeous, Augustus Waters(brown hair and blue eyes, might I add<3), who is obviously interested in her because he not once tries to hide it. Augustus is also a cancer survivor(Osteosarcoma) in remission for a little more than a year. Both are on a mission to find out what happens to the characters of their favorite book(which was Hazel’s favorite book first until she introduced to Augustus, so it’s now his too). And from there, well, I don’t want to spoil it(:

How do I even begin to express my love for this book? It was just simply amazing. John Green has officially become one of my favorite authors. I mean, Looking For Alaska was an awesome book, but this one sold it. I fell in love with both Hazel and Augustus since the first chapter. More in love with Augustus, of course. His charisma and his way with words, I just… *sigh. Hazel and his journey together was beautiful♥
I love books that takes me on these emotional roller coasters and this was definitely one of them. This particular book, though, just took me all the way up and then slowly brought me down… and then a little up again and then it was over lol
If you could see me while I read this book, I went from laughing to smiling like an idiot to laughing some more(seriously, there were many hilarious parts in this book!) to smiling like an idiot even more and then, from that ONE. FREAKING. REVELATION, I became dispirited. I cried and whined and screamed and UGH, WHY!? WHY DID IT HAPPEN?!
Ahhhhhh!
Sorry, LOL.
Just read it. You’ll laugh, you’ll smile, you’ll cry and then you’ll feel empty. Or it could just only be me lol I was just so attached to the characters that it made it hard for me to finish this book. Augustus, especially. I want to find a guy who has about the same charisma as him because I just fell in love with him and his words. The intelligence of that boy, I swear!
The last thing I want to talk about about this book is the ending. The ending was perfection. It was the up after that down in the roller coaster. It was beautiful and just thinking about makes me want to cry all over again! I haven’t cried over a book in a long time. And I’ll be honest, after I read those last 5 words, I closed the book and just hugged it. It was that amazing, in my opinion. And I’m just REALLY happy that it was signed by John Green himself!!!!! :D
I recommend to anyone and everyone!
P.S. I’ve also associated this book to this song: Hanging By A Moment by Lifehouse which I have posted just yesterday(: It’s the perfect song for the book. You can listen here.
If read the book because of this review or because of other reasons, let’s talk about it! I want to know what you thought(: Whether you loved it or hated it(which I highly doubt), or simply because you need someone who has read it to scream to. I’m here lol

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Again, I read really good reviews for this one, so I had to buy it lol! One of my favorite authors, Cassandra Clare, tweeted about it and that’s where I first heard of it. ^_____^
So, Anna Oliphant is a seventeen-year-old American who was forced to spend her senior year of high school in School of America in Paris, also known as, SOAP. It sounds amazing, right? Going to an American boarding school in Paris? Not for Anna. She’d rather stay in Atlanta where she has her family, friends, and a boy who she’s close to getting with. Unfortunately, her father, a bestselling author and a total prick, is making her go. In the middle of a breakdown(from being on her own for the first time), she meets Meredith, a girl from the room next door. Meredith introduces Anna to her circle of friends—Josh, Rashmi, and gorgeous Étienne St. Clair. Despite the fact that Anna might have someone to come back to in Atlanta, she slowly starts to fall for St. Clair. But there’s just one problem…St. Clair is already in a serious relationship. Throughout the whole school year, Anna has to deal with family, friend AND love problems. How it all ends, you’re just going to have to read the book to know what happens. (:
4.7/5 stars
I REALLY loved this book. One, because there were so many parts in the book where I was cracking up! And two, because I’m just a hopeless romantic like that. Always having hope for the main girl and guy to end up together LOL!
Let me just talk about St. Clair for a sec. ;D
Étienne St. Clair. Eh-ti-yen. What a French name!♥ He was born in America—San Francisco to be exact. Grew up in London, thus making him have a sexy English accent. Mom’s American, Dad’s French. And he’s fluent in French! …Wait, give me a moment.
ADFLKDJFLSDKFJSLDFKJSDLFKJSDFLSKDJFLKAJSDLKFJS!!!!!!!!♥
Okay, I’m good~
Perkins did a good job with this one. There were times where it felt like I was Anna herself, other times where I wished I was her and then there were other times where I’m like, thank goodness I’m not her hahah! And this book really makes me want to go to Paris and visit every single place they went to. It was a really romantic, cute, makes-you-giddy kind of book. Good for the ladies. ;D Give me a year in a half and I’ll read it again. I bet I’ll still be in love with it. (:

Just finished this book. (: I give it an A+. I absolutely loved it! I haven’t had a good read in FOREVER, and this was a great book to start with after a couple of months of not having one. AH! I highly recommend this book to those who loved the Hunger Games series—to anyone, really. If you haven’t read that series yet, it’s a MUST read. This book reminded me A LOT of that series. But, what made me love this book even more was the forbidden love. If you haven’t read my recent “About Me” post, I love reading about forbidden love. It makes a book that more interesting to read. Well, for me, anyway.
The book is basically about a “Society” that takes place in the future where Officials decide for you; who you’re married to (your match, hence the title), what your job is, and when you die. The story revolves around a 17 year old girl named, Cassia (pronounced Cash-a. Sucks that I found out how to pronounce it when I was already in the middle of the book. I was pronouncing it like, “Cass-eeya,” which I think sounds better, in my opinion), who gets matched with her best friend, Xander. But, as she’s looking up his status and information and whatnot, some glitch causes the screen to fade and another face who’s not Xander, appears. Someone she’s already familiar with named, Ky. As the story progresses, she gets torn between the two and blah blah blah. But, that’s not what the whole story focuses on. It also concentrates on how this future society works. It’s very interesting, if you ask me. You’d think this future society is perfect and that it might work in keeping us in peace, but…okay I’m going to shut up about it for those of you who want to read it lol! (:
I love the names too! Unique, right? Cassia, Xander, and Ky. I love it!<3 And if you’re wondering, Xander or Ky? I fucking love both, okay? LOL! It’s still hard to choose! And you know how you “don’t judge a book by its cover”? Yeah, this cover is basically what drew me to it in the first place lol!
The sequel comes out in November of this year, and I seriously can’t wait already.

Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare

5/5 stars

I can’t seem to let this book go yet. I’ve felt so many emotions while reading it that my heart is still aching from it. This is the first book that I started and finished in 2012(I started reading Clockwork Angel again before the New Year and finished it after, so that doesn’t count lol) and I couldn’t have chosen a more better book to start the year with. Seriously. If I had gotten this book right when it came out in December, it would’ve been the best book I’ve read in 2011. And it would’ve been the perfect book to end the year with.

Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma

First off, I heard about this book on Twitter from a writer who highly recommended it and said it was extremely heartbreaking(I may be exaggerating this because I completely forgot her exact words lol). Also, from reading all the reviews on this book, I had to read it and see how “heartbreaking” it really was.
—In England, this story follows two characters: a 16-year-old girl named, Maya, and a 17-year-old boy named, Lochan(Lock-en, though I pronounced it like, ‘Loke-en’ the whole time I read it lol. Idk, it just sounded better to me). Throughout the whole book, in each one’s point of view, we see their constant struggles dealing with an alcoholic mother who is pretty much careless, parenting their three younger siblings while keeping up with school, and keeping the love they have for each other a secret.
Now, this is where the title, “Forbidden,” comes in. Yes, they are biologically related—brother and sister. Yes, I still wanted to keep reading it. Yes, it seems really wrong, but I never once condemned their love for each other. It was just the way she wrote the story that made it seem like their love could actually work. And I’ll be honest, looking past the whole incest thing, I was rooting for them. She made their love sound kind of acceptable, I guess. She made the taboo acceptable! I mean, they never thought of one another as just brother and sister, but “something more” (as they kept saying in the book lol). I, myself, do not condone incest. I mean, I have two brothers! EW. UGH. GROSS.
-shudders-
But seriously, with Lochan and Maya it just felt right. I guess you’ll just have to read it to understand.
Overall, it was beautifully written in my opinion. It was definitely different from what I usually read lol! And let me be another one of those people who say that this book was truly heartbreaking because it was! There were certain parts where it made me stop reading, lay back and take it all in. &I would recommend this to those who are looking for a good read. (:
